In my lfs i think they are like 7 or 8 quid each i believe. I got a group of 5 about a year ago, nice fish but mine were very very timid and really only came out to feed. The german blue rams are incredible in colour, i think some of the nicest rams personally but i havent seen them in the uk for sale.

Guys, if you want any other types of tropical fish, i can order them through my wholesalers when i next place an order for bettas. I can get pretty much anything. I will give you trade price plus 20% (which will be about half of retail price). If you let me know what you're after, i can give you prices and let you know when i'll be ordering in next - only problem is, i cannot see the fish like you can when you go into your lfs and pick them, however the supplier is very good to me . Another thing. I have my import licence now. I buy in from www.sirinutbetta.com for the imports i sell but if you find some other bettas from another country or on aquabid, i can do the importing for you (for half the price of the other UK transhipper Dani!) It would still be cheaper to buy direct from me and if you take a look on sirinutbetta.com and pick a type you want, i can still sell a pair for £50 or 1 betta for £25. If you were to import just the one, it would work out more expensive, but if you find 'the one' on a site else where and are willing to pay the money to get it oer here, i can save you some pennies! Dani the current UK transhipper charges £6.50 (£3.50 import chage, £3.00 personal charge) per fish plus £34 to post to you. £3.50 is the standard import charge set by the government so if you went with me, you'd still have to pay that. I charge half her fee of just £1.50. So to import it is £5.00 per fish with me. Postage is the real difference. For up to 30 bettas i can post for just £10. For imports, i will only use a next day guaranteed courier. So for one fish using Dani its £40.50 or just £15.00 through me. Obviously you need to pay the costs of the shipping and the betta from where ever you buy it from. Another thing to note is Dani does this as a part time job. She has to travel to the airport only to do the transhipping. So she requests a minimum order of 100 bettas (combined orders from several customers) so you may have to wait months for this to accumilate. Whereas i will be going to the airport to collect my own stock on a monthly basis. If you're the only customer who's ordered, it doesn't matter. I will still take it. Roxy

Yeah I like the giants too, the only thing ive noticed is the colouring is never quite as perfect as their smaller counterparts but i guess thats because they havent been intensively bred as much. I agree with natalie the mustard gas giants were my favourate as well

saw some rams in a lfs the other day - they were stunning electric blue rams at £25.99 each. From a little research I found that there are the wild rams, bolivian rams, but the main difference in price in the 'blue' rams come in because there are german blues which look similar to bolivian rams but with better blue coverage and then there are electric blues which are completely blue in colour and demand the much higher price. c

He's lovely. The colour on this on is just like on the normal mustard gas. Lovely colour! Natalie- I've got just the one giant left. A copper but he's missing an eye. I've named him Capt. Jack! He's on ebay if you want to take a look at him. Roxy

I'm not sure. He came in with the imports from the supplier as a replacement for one of the Black Orchid HMs i think. I like him. He had character! I had a hamster once when i was a kid who had to have her eye removed. Reminds me a little of her! Just without the fur and lives in water! lol!
