Hi I'm Dani. I followed Nat here too... She has a lot of stalkers.
I am a (the) licenced transhipper. You'll find me on Aquabid. I also keep/breed a few tropicals. I currently have 24 female bettas and 11 males, most of them being home-bred and for sale. I drastically downsized when I moved house and now only have a total of 520L in the house, but I hope to reduce that further with the build of a pond and summer breeding system in the garage. Only 260L will remain in the house with a further 480L in the garage and 500-1000L in the garden. I used to have about 800L in a small flat above a dentist... risky!
Lee, I've always kept bettas in communities. I think the bigger tanks and the extra company does wonders for them.

Carol, Nice to meet you! You don't know how happy we are to have you! The more the merrier! I know there's a betta fan base out there, we just need to get them all together! If you can get some pics up of your extended family, that would be great! Welcome to the group once again, Roxy

Hi Rox,
Thanks. I think I used to have over a hundred at one point (including some youngsters I'd bred at the time). It's too many for me. I struggled coping with the water changes (and getting enough RO water in on time). I'd be happy with just a couple of males and 3-4 really good females. Hopefully it won't take too long to shift this last batch of babies :-)

Hi all
My name is Martin, after a recent purchase of some male fighters from Roxy, she recommended me to join this site, so here goes;
A recent impulse buy of a of a single 'pet shop fighter' got me really interested in Plakats / Siamese Fighters and have since acquired a few more. A further addition, which came in the shape of a father's day present by my daughter, got me on a slippery slope...
In addition to a few black neons and algae eaters my current fighter stock is;
1 Blue VT 1 Red VT 1 Gold DT 1 Black DT 1 Blue HMPK
I can feel this newly found hobby will be spiralling out of control soon and I'm already trying to find out where I can create some space in my house to increase and improve on my current collection. (whilst avoiding marital discord... ;D )
Currently I am in the process of designing and constructing my very own betta display tank.
The tank will have 5 compartments, for a fighter each, in addition to this it will feature 3 integrated sump sections (to house filtration, heating, pump, indian almond leaves, some plants, etc).
I shall be uploading some pics of the tank when it is finished and invite you all to comment.
That's all from me for now!
Martin

Hi I m Toni. I have always kept fish. I have had ponds, marine fish and various tropical tanks in the past. I divorced a few years ago and lost all my tanks. Now a few years and a few more children later ( 6 in total) I have a community tank, a tank of betta girls, a divided tank for boys, betta falx and betta imbellis. Plus another tank in the garage to be divided and one on order. I think I am a betta addict lol xx
