Hi guys,
I've not some issues with my fry. They've had tiny white spots (smaller than White Spot) for around a month now. If it was White Spot, they would all be dead now, but they don't seem that bothered by it whatever it is! Any ideas? I'll try to takes some pics. The fry are around 3 months old now.

Probably velvet. You can treat them at half-dose with Interpet anti-whitespot. That should clear it up.

Ive had a look on the internet and nothing really comes to mind (if its not ick or velvet that is) Salt (1 tbsp per gal) also works wonders when dealing with parasites with the addition of 2 or 3 almond leaves however, I personally havnt used salt as a medication on fry and I couldnt tell you how senstitive they might be to it, 3 month old fish im sure would be ok though. Alternatively there are products which come in tablet or liquid form like fungistop which are good general purpose medications for bacteria and fungi. These are great when you just cant work out whats wrong.
Ive used fungistop on 1 week old fry and it didnt do them any harm, they had a bacterial infection.
hope this helps

Dani,
I dosed as you said and it cleared up, but it's back again. They really don't seem at all bothered by it so i'm wondering if it's something else. I've got a UV filter in their tank and when that's on it seems to clear it up too. Weird.
